#MondayMember Spotlight

This week's #MondayMember is Rebecca!

Rebecca Banerji continually impresses us with her dedication and determination to work hard no matter her limitations. With knee issues she often modifies movements, but never complains and always gives her full effort. She inspires all of us to push hard no matter what our limitations or struggles might be on a given day. Read below for what HCF means to her:

"I have worked out in, and even been an instructor at, many gyms over the years (decades!) In my opinion, HCF is an extraordinary gym because it is so nurturing. I love that no matter my physical limitations on any given day, the instructors always make me feel strong and accomplished. I love that on a snow day, kids are welcomed with open arms so that their moms and dads can still get their workout in. I love that families are in the gym working out together - on Thanksgiving and any given Saturday. I especially love having the kids around so that I can embarrass my eighth grade daughter when we run into boys from her class and they are MY friends from crossfit!! The owners/instructors have created a gym that exudes love and acceptance along with strength and fitness....the winning combination that makes us all healthier!"

Some fun facts about Rebecca:

*She started at HCF the very first day that it opened!

*She once sobbed her way through an entire workout (DT)---the works: tears, nose running, etc, but true-to-form, she got through it with the perfect amount of encouragement from Coach Jeannie (because she has a love/mostly hate relationship with DT too!)

*She never, ever checks a WOD prior to coach announcing it in class

*She is a master at double unders and often does movements one-legged!

*She has been married to Shawn (also an HCF member) for TWENTY years

*She has three kids: Julian 17, Beverly 14 and Victor 5

To nominate a HCF athlete for #MondayMember Spotlight, email us their name and few sentences telling us why you're inspired by them.
